Diocesan Winter Retreat -- February 23 to 25, 2018

The annual Winter Retreat provides an opportunity for our high school students to take time out of their busy lives to slow down and be with God for one faith-filled weekend. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, this time apart provides youth with an opportunity to encounter Jesus, reflect upon the movement of God in their lives, and develop what their personal response will be to the call of discipleship that they received at their baptism. This retreat is a gift to our young people. It is a time to come to know and love God even more.

The 2018 retreat, "I Am the Vine, You are the Branches," will take place at Laurelville Retreat Center, Mount Pleasant, Friday, February 23 through Sunday afternoon, February 25. The retreat is sponsored by the Diocese of Greensburg Office for Evangelization and Faith Formation. All youth of the diocese in grades nine through twelve, along with their adult chaperones, are invited to join us on the journey.

The cost of this retreat is $125, however youth are eligible for Francis Fund. The total amount eligible is $62.50 (half of the cost). Please reach out to Elisa Esasky, director of youth and young adult ministry, at the Parish Office, if you are interested in applying for this scholarship. Deadline for application submission is December 31, 2017. Please note, those who received a scholarship for NCYC are not eligible for scholarship and are responsible for the full amount. Learn more about Francis Fund and view the Scholarship Application.
