Edge: Encounter God in the Everyday
Our yearly catechical sessions for middle school youth begin Sunday, September 10 and conclude April 8. Our topic for the 2017-18 school year is Following Jesus, A Year of Discipleship. All young people in six through eighth grade are encouraged to join us from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., in the St. Barbara Center. The night includes icebreakers, a proclaim teaching portion, small group discussions, prayer and social time. Food and beverages are also provided. There is no fee to register for youth ministry, but we do ask that participants complete a registration form and sign up for Remind updates at https://www.remind.com/join/3hakcg.

Our yearly catechical sessions for high school youth begin Sunday, September 17 and conclude April 15. Our topic for the 2017-18 school year is Following Jesus, A Year of Discipleship. All young people in ninth through twelfth grade are encouraged to join us from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., in the St. Barbara Center. The night includes icebreakers, a proclaim teaching portion, small group discussions, prayer and social time. Food and beverages are also provided. Foundations of Faith For the first time this year, all middle and high school students are invited to participate in a service component during Foundations of Faith, our intergenerational Faith Formation here at St. Barbara Parish. A full list of dates can be found below or by visiting the Foundations of Faith section of our website. Projects include soup mix for shut-ins, birthday boxes, and survival kits for police, EMS and firefighters. Service hours will be granted to those students who are in need, but please be sure to bring along the appropriate paperwork. View the full list of Service Projects.

Encounter A new twist to unpacking our faith by watching Christian based movies and opening up the floor for discussion about our thoughts and insights. Encounter is now open to all young people in sixth through twelfth grade. Encounter gathers on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Encounter takes place at the Kent Residence (26 Marilou Drive, Harrison Park). Snacks and beverages are provided. The full list of dates will be released soon.

Breakfast @Barbara's A bible study for our high school youth, Breakfast @Barbara's returns Sunday, September 17. All young people in ninth through twelfth grade are encouraged to gather together from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., the first and third Sundays of the month in the St. Barbara Center. Coffee, hot chocolate, juice and pastries from Grandma's Country Oven and Bake Shoppe are provided. The full list of dates can be found in the outlook calendar below.
