Fine Arts Committee
Information:
The Fine Arts Committee (FAC) makes recommendations to the Facilities Management Committee (FMC) concerning acquiring permanent fine art for the St Barbara campus.
Recommendations are based on balancing the techniques of design and art with diocesan guidelines and the needs and desires of St Barbara parishioners. An artistic background is beneficial but not necessary to be an asset to this committee. The FAC welcomes anyone who is patient and committed to staying with a project from inception to finished product.
Plain and simple: Service to God through working together and planning together. The fun part is that at the end of each project there is a visual art for the entire community to enjoy.
To our knowledge, the Fine Arts Committee is the only committee still functioning since its inception during the St Barbara building project.
Anticipated Time Commitment:
The time commitment varies from project to project. AT times, the FAC has met once a week. At other times we have met a few times a year. Good communication is vital to the health of this committee.
