Friends of St. Barbara Committee
Our Mission:
To offer support for both on-site St. Barbara Church needs and local St. Barbara community needs, as approved by our Pastor.
Our Action Plan:
To be an active fund-raising group for the benefit of the St. Barbara Church and local community needs supported by our church.
Financial support and other gifts to Friends of St. Barbara will be directed to parish or local community needs, as requested by the donor or our committee, and approved by our Pastor. Donors can be unique and creative in their gifting. In addition to financial gifts, we have the ability to accept donations of automobiles, boats, jewelry, coins, antique guns, and other collectibles. We can also accept gifts of real estate. These unique gifts will be sold through local brokers or businesses, with proceeds being given to St. Barbara Church, through Friends of St. Barbara, in the donor’s name. Parishioners can also include Friends of St. Barbara in their wills and estate plans.
Another unique aspect of gifting to Friends of St. Barbara is the donor’s ability to direct a gift ($25 or more in value) to a specific parish need or ministry. If the parish need is immediate, the gift will be used immediately. If the need is long-range, the gift will be held until the appropriate time. Financial gifts may be given at any time, with a check written to Friends of St. Barbara. Gifts may be given “in memory of” or “in honor of” another person. Donors may also choose to remain anonymous. (To do so, please contact Fr. Ken personally.)
