Parish Leadership Team (Disciples in Mission)
Information:
The group is responsible for implementation of the Disciples in Mission (DIM) program in the parish. Team members are involved in various phases of the project such as, inviting parishioners to pray for the success of Disciples in Mission, selecting and training small group leaders, coordinating the Lenten activities, hosting Parish Reflection Day in the Easter Season and reporting on the progress of Disciples in Mission.
Mission:
The mission of the Parish Leadership Team is to enable the parish to become an evangelizing community of faith. An evangelizing community is one in which each member hears the word of God, comes to faith in Jesus Christ, and is formed as a Christian with the Roman Catholic tradition. When parishioners experience a strong sens of community and worship, they feel called not only to share their faith with others but also to make Christ present in their families, neighborhoods, and workplaces.
Anticipated Time Commitment:
The Team meets about once a month in the Fall and Spring. More frequent meetings occur in January & February as preparations are made for the Lenten Disciples in Mission groups.
