 How to Rent the Social Hall

​The St. Barbara Parish Social Hall is available for rent by parishioners and non-parishioners of the community. All organizations of the parish shall have priority in the use of this facility. We reserve the right to cancel commitments if the facility is needed for parish functions. Cancelations may be possible, however, notice will be given to the renting party as early as possible.

The rental fee, security deposit and Diocese of Greensburg special events insurance coverage are due two weeks from the approval date located on the Facilities Schedule Form. If the rental fee, security deposit and insurance coverage are not received within the two week time period, the reservation will be canceled. The security deposit may be returned following the event once the facility is checked and cleared by the parish facilities manager.

Two separate checks are required for payment. The rental fee and security deposit check must be made payable to St. Barbara Church. The insurance coverage check must be made payable to the Diocese of Greensburg.

In addition to the rental fees and insurance coverage, all individuals and/or organizations must read and sign the Hold Harmless Agreement and the Facilities Schedule Form. Any exceptions must have the pastor's approval. If you have questions regarding rental of the social hall, please contact the Parish Office at 724-744-7474.

 Rules and Regulations

​All Guests
As a guest the use of the facility must not interfere with parish events or activities. Please care for the facility and leave the property clean and orderly. Failure to do so will result in the loss of the security deposit and could lead to termination of privileges for future facility use.

Set Up
Depending on the date, the facilities manager will se-up the event according to the notations on the Facilities Schedule Form.  However, for special events held on Sundays, it may be necessary for the individual or organization to set up and tear down the space. If set up and tear down is necessary, you must contact the Parish Office in regards to special instructions.

Under no circumstances are decorations to be affixed to the walls with any type of adhesive. Renters will be responsible for damage and revoke the security deposit.

Smoking is prohibited on all parish property. Any event in violation of this policy will be stopped immediately.

Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on parish property. Any event in violation of this policy will be stopped immediately.

Use of the kitchen for individuals or outside organizations is subject to the following:

  • Cooking is not permitted in the kitchen. The facility may only be used to keep items warm or cold. Everything in the kitchen must be cleaned and replaced as it was found.
  • Consumable items such as paper products, silverware, cups and beverages must be provided by the individual or organization unless preapproved authorization has been given by the pastor.

Use of the facility does not include use of any parish technology equipment, including televisions, projectors, cable, etc).

Clean Up
All garbage is to be placed in the wooden container outside the rear of the social hall. Any trash that will not fit in this container must be taken to the dumpster, which is located off Waugaman Road in front of the barn past the pavilion.

Do not leave trash inside the facility. Cleaning equipment and supplies are located in the janitor's closet next to the restroom in the parent alcove, located at the top of the ramp next to the water fountain.

All events and functions must conclude no later than 9:00 p.m. Any exceptions must be approved by the pastor.
