Men and women of the parish are called to serve in leadership positions that advise the pastor on the workings of the parish.
The Parish Finance Council is a consultative body that collaborates with the pastor regarding financial matters of the parish. The council is a visionary body that is to create a financial plan that supports the parish pastoral plan and provides for the future need of the community including accounting for adequate reserves, facility management, endowments, and planned giving. Members of this body are discerned by the pastor and current members of the finance council for a period of three years with the possibility of renewal.
The Parish Pastoral Council is the visioning and planning body of the parish. It is the task of the pastoral council to keep before the faithful of the parish their baptismal commitment to make Jesus’ mission the mission of the parish. The parish pastoral council, along with the pastor, researches, reflects and recommends a vision for the continued quality of the pastoral life of the parish. Through a process of discernment members are selected for a three-year term with the possibility of renewal.
As Christian stewards we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord. As Catholics we all give generous support of time, money, prayers and personal service according to our circumstances. The role of the stewardship committee is to collaborate with the pastor to develop ways to nurture the community of believers pertaining to time, talent and treasure.
