Confirmation Preparation 2022-2023

Confirmation brings to completion the grace received through Baptism. By this sacrament the baptized are more perfectly bound to the church and are enriched by the strength of the Holy Spirit.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated for students in 8th grade. This year, the celebration will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 7 pm. Rehearsal with the candidates and sponsors will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 7 pm.

A letter was sent to all eligible eighth grade students inviting them and their parents to an initial meeting on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 7 pm in the church. If you did not receive this mailing contact Joan Duncan or Caitlin Craig at the parish office.

Confirmation Preparation | Chosen

Chosen: Your Journey Toward Confirmation takes young people on a journey through the entire Catholic faith in all its richness and vitality. Teens will be captivated by the story, from Creation all the way through salvation history, and they will come to see how the sacraments, prayer, and discipleship are the keys to a happy life. The goal of Chosen is nothing short of winning over the hearts of teens and making them disciples of Christ.

Retreat Days

A Confirmation retreat is a Diocesan requirement.
This year, the date for our Retreat is Saturday, March 4, 2023, with the time to be determined.

Family Service Project

As part of the preparation process for the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation, each Candidate and their family is asked to incorporate the Corporal Works of Mercy into a service project. We ask that the Candidate and their family develop a way of showing how they live out the Works of Mercy in the parish or community.

At the retreat day, March 4, 2023, the completed display board depicting the service that was completed by the families will be due. Instructions for this service project are distributed to the Candidate at the initial meeting.

Any questions or concerns should be directed to
